How to use Nova Clump correctly
The depth of the litter and daily cleaning are key to achieving firm clumps and getting the most out of each bag.

Fill to a depth of 5-7 cm (2 bags)
This depth is essential for properly absorbing moisture and forming compact clumps.

Remove waste daily
Remove urine clumps and faeces with a suitable scoop, preferably after each use.

Top up the amount removed
When the layer falls below 5-7 cm, add fresh litter until the recommended depth is restored.

Carry out a complete clean
When necessary, completely empty the litter tray, clean it and refill it with fresh litter.
Why are 5-7 cm important?
A layer that is too shallow can result in less compact clumps, greater product waste and poorer odour control. Maintaining the recommended depth allows for more efficient performance.
Estimated duration of Nova Clump
How long it lasts depends on the size of the litter tray, the number of cats and how often it is cleaned. As a guide, using two bags to maintain the recommended depth:
1 cat + 1 litter tray 2 bags – Approximately one month and one week.
2 cats + 1 litter tray 2 bags – Approximately three weeks.
Recommendation: the number of litter trays should equal the number of cats living in the home, plus one extra.
How to switch from a non-plant-based litter to Nova Clump
Many cats accept the change straight away, but a gradual transition can help them become familiar with the new texture.
Days 1-2 75% previous litter + 25% Nova Clump
Days 3-4 50% previous litter + 50% Nova Clump
Days 5-6 25% previous litter + 75% Nova Clump
From day 7 100% Nova Clump
Kit Cat tip: place a small amount of previously used litter on top of Nova Clump so your cat recognises its scent. If you have several litter trays, make the transition gradually in all of them.
