Soya Clump is becoming Nova Clump. It maintains the same concept of a plant-based, clumping litter that helps keep the home clean, but its formula has evolved, now with pea fibre as the main base.

Many cats accept the change straight away, but a gradual transition can help them become familiar with the new texture.

If your cat adapts easily: You can change the litter directly. Place a small clump of the previous litter on top so your cat recognises its scent and identifies the litter tray.

How long it lasts depends on the size of the litter tray, the number of cats and how often it is cleaned. As a guide, when using two bags to maintain the recommended depth:

1 cat + 1 litter tray 2 bags – Approximately one month and one week.

2 cats + 1 litter tray 2 bags – Approximately three weeks.

Recommendation: the number of litter trays should equal the number of cats living in the home, plus one extra.

Can Nova Clump plant-based cat litter be flushed down the toilet?

It is biodegradable and water-soluble, so it can be disposed of in small quantities. Even so, we recommend using a biodegradable bag and placing it in the rubbish.

Is Nova Clump natural clumping litter safe if my cat licks it?

Nova Clump is made with plant-based ingredients and food-grade colourings, but it is not an edible product. If your cat swallows a few pellets, we recommend encouraging them to drink water to help dissolve them. If the cat consumes a significant amount, consult your veterinarian.

Can I use Nova Clump natural clumping litter for my kitten?

Yes. The Kitten variety has fine 2 mm granules that are more comfortable for small paw pads, although it can also be used for adult cats.
